Year 12 trip to Berlin
Year 12 history and economics students recently enjoyed an educational visit to Berlin, where they explored Germany’s twentieth-century history and economic development through a range of iconic sites. Visits to the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, the DDR Museum, the East Side Gallery, and the Reichstag helped bring topics such as Nazi Germany, the Cold War, and reunification to life. The trip also gave students the opportunity to compare centrally planned and free market economies, deepening their understanding of the links between history, politics, and economics beyond the classroom.
