As part of our Black History Month celebrations, students have been working with Write2Speak, a professional poetry and spoken-word company, to explore this year’s theme: “Standing Firm in Power and Pride.”

Over the past several weeks, our young poets have developed their own original pieces, drawing inspiration from Black voices, history, resilience, and identity.

With the guidance of Write2Speak facilitators, they have crafted powerful spoken-word performances that reflect their experiences, creativity, and vision.

Our students took the stage alongside Write2Speak for a relaxed, uplifting, and inspiring evening of poetry and performance. This showcase celebrated not only their talent, but also the pride, strength, and community at the heart of Black History Month.
