History ambassadors

History ambassadors

We are immensely proud to announce the outstanding performance of our two shortlisted students, Lucy (Y11) and JBI (Y13), who recently served as exceptional ambassadors for our school at the local heat of the Historical Association's Great Debate.

This prestigious, nationwide competition is open to students in years 10-13 and is designed to nurture a passion for history while significantly enhancing crucial research and  presentation skills.

This year's question was: "How important are personal and public records as evidence for explaining the story, or stories, of your local area?"

Both students rose to this intellectual challenge with remarkable distinction, crafting truly excellent arguments. The organisers commended the high quality of the research and the compelling nature of their presentations. Their success reflects their aspiration, demonstrated by entering this high-level challenge, and their determination, evident in the meticulous, high-quality research effort they invested.

Congratulations to both Lucy and JBI for your exceptional contribution!
