Applications for September 2024

PLEASE NOTE THAT HIGHLANDS SIXTH FORM IS NOW FULL. WE WILL NOT BE ENROLLING ANY FURTHER STUDENTS, OUR WAITING IS ALSO FULL.

We are delighted that you are interested in applying for Highlands Sixth Form. Our sixth form is amongst the highest performing in London by attainment and progress with students moving on to outstanding universities and post 18 courses.

Internal students enrolment

Sixth form enrolment will take place on GCSE results day on Thursday 22nd August after collection of GCSE results.

The times for results collection are:

  • 10.00am - Beech house

  • 10.30am - Willow house

  • 11.00am - Oak house

  • 11.30am - Rowan house

After students have collected their results they will have a progression interview with a member of SLT or the sixth form team about their next steps and enrolment.

There will be an opportunity for students who do not enrol on Thursday 22nd August to enrol on the Friday 23rd August between 9:00 am and 10:00 am. If you are unable to attend enrolment then please ensure you inform the sixth form team at sixthform@highlearn.uk soon as possible so we can make alternative arrangements.

Year 12 students will be returning to school on Tuesday 3rd September.

External applicants who have been conditionally offered a place

If your results meet the specific subject requirements and wish to take up this place, please attend enrolment on Friday 23rd August from 10:00 to 11:00 am. If you are abroad during enrolment but would still like to accept your place, then please email sixthform@highlearn.uk as soon as possible so we can make alternative arrangements.

Before you attend enrolment, please log back into your application (link below) and update it with your achieved grades and upload a copy of your results, either your passport or birth certificate along with proof of your address. You will be able to access the account from 11:00 am on the 22nd August and there will be a 12 minute session for you to complete the information. You will be able to log back in to complete the form if you run out of time. This is due to restrictions from the provider.

External applicants who are on the waiting list

If you did not receive an offer email but were placed on the waiting list it is possible to see if we have places available if you meet the requirements grades for your chosen subjects. You can attend the Enrolment Day on Friday 23rd August. Please attend between 11:00 to 12:00am.

Before you attend enrolment please log back into your application (link below)  and update it with your achieved grades and upload a copy of your results, either your passport or birth certificate along with proof of your address. You will be able to access the account from 11:00 am on the 22nd August and there will be a 12 minute session for you to complete the information. You will be able to log back in to complete the form if you run out of time. This is due to restrictions from the provider.

External applicants who have completed their application after the original deadline of 26th February.

If you completed your application late and were not offered a conditional place or a place on the waiting list it is still possible to see if we have any spaces available in your chosen subjects if you meet the required grades.  You will need to attend on Friday 23rd September between 12:00 and 12:30 pm

Please come to the main reception and enrolment interviews will take place in the hall.

We will not be able to process your application until you have completed the update of your grades and other requested data. Kindly ensure that you bring your original GCSE results and the information that you have provided for ID and proof of address to enable us to process your enrolment as quickly as possible.

We look forward to seeing you at enrolment on the 23rd August and welcoming you to sixth form when term starts for year 12 students on Tuesday 3rd September.

 

Admissions criteria

A level entry requirements: 
A minimum of 6 grades 9-4 with at least 3 grades 9-6 at GCSE including maths (grade 5) and English (grade 5) and a grade B/6 in each of the subjects to be studied at A level. 


BTEC entry requirements: 
A minimum of 6 grades 9-3 with at least 3 grades 9-4 at GCSE including maths (grade 4) and English (grade 4). 


Two A levels and 1 BTEC requirement: 
A minimum of 6 grades 9-3 with at least 3 grades 9-4 at GCSE including maths (grade 4) and English (grade 4). The entry requirements for the A level they want to pursue. 


One A level and 2 BTECs requirement: 
A minimum of 6 grades 9-3 with at least 3 grades 9-4 at GCSE including maths (grade 4) and English (grade 4). The entry requirements for the A level they want to pursue.
