What is safeguarding?

Safeguarding is the action that is taken to promote the welfare of students and protect them from harm.

Safeguarding means:

  • protecting students from abuse and maltreatment.

  • preventing harm to students health or development.

  • taking action to enable all students to have the best outcomes.
