Family Liaison Officer
36 hours per week/39 weeks per year
Scale 6 – £23,280 - £25,128 (actual salary range)
We are seeking to appoint a Family Liaison Officer who will support the Designated Safeguarding Leads with child protection and will lead on supporting and engaging vulnerable and/or disadvantaged students and their families. You will oversee aspects of the daily child protection triage system, referrals to/liaison with external agencies; develop strategies to promote good attendance for vulnerable and/or disadvantaged students and work directly with children and their families to offer support and guidance to parents on how best to support their child’s education.
You will need to be confident and able to work sensitively with students, computer literate, with strong written and communication skills, and have the ability to work both as part of team, as well as using your own initiative.
